We believe in friendship. Whatsmore, we believe God continually blesses us with friends who can walk beside us as we discern and answer God’s call to ministry in our lives. And yet, it can be tough to find fellow women in ministry, let alone women in similar seasons or life stages as you!
We’re on a mission to fill this need.
Amy Bost Henegar, a minister for the Manhattan Church of Christ, pastors the Community of Women Ministers in an effort to create space for this organic connection. Many of us have ties to the Churches of Christ and other branches of the American Restoration Movement (also known as the Stone-Campbell Movement), but many do not. Some of us are in full-time professional ministry positions, and others volunteer their time as they are able.
Bottom line: if you’re a woman with a heart for ministry, we want to meet you!
We host various monthly and annual events (both in person and virtually) where you can make a new friend, reconnect with old friends, and be encouraged. You will leave encouraged and energized to travel the road before you knowing we’re here cheering you on each step of the way.
